The start of the 2008 Screamin' Reach Long Distance Fleet Rally at North Beach. Normally, the downwind race starts at A&M Beach
and ends at North Beach but because the predominant southeast winds had switched to the northwest that day, race organizer Kyle
Krebs reversed the race course. If typical Corpus winds had been present, more recreational sailors would have competed. As it was,
race gear was necessary due to light winds.
